CPR 4-19-2012 EMPEROR CATSBY TROUBLED BY DECISION ON EMPRESS

Ever since Gracie announced she was running for Empress, Catsby has been losing nap time worrying about the selection of his Empress. It seemed so simple when all he had to do was choose between stuffed bunnies; simply pick one of the ones who wasn't  wearing a blue bow tie.  But the Emperor has to worry about his court;  and here, this worry is particularly relevant,  as Jay Catsby the Law Clerk does not want to alienate his Court, in this case, the Justice Gracie Sotomeow, so he must somehow figure out a way delicately to let  Gracie know that her limitations in dealing with humans is seen as a hindrance to his governance of the pets.   Humans are powerful allies-- they have opposable thumbs, and seem capable of opening the cans of cat food that fuel the Pet Empire, in ways that Gracie the Cat not only seems incapable of, but unwilling to work towards, specifically by allowing the humans to pet her and feel connected to her in a way to encourage feeding.  Feeding for the Emperor is the weightiest of the weighty issues that keep the Emperor awake at night, so tonight's Report shows a contemplative Catsby pondering his options.  Oh troubled is the brow that wears the crown, and wriggly are the whiskers that fret the Emperor.  To coin a phrase.  (A coin which bears the Emperor Catsby's image)
