CPR 4-21-2012 SEARCH FOR EMPRESS TAKES TO THE ROAD

Frustrated by his local options for Empress, not to name names (Gracie), and thinking that being married to a stuffed bunny might not be a betrothal fitting for an Emperor (supposing he needed someone to mend his trousers? Could he trust a stuffed bunny to do it right? ), Jay Catsby charged his humans with the task of going to the furthest southern reach of his Empire (Baltimore) to find him an Consort. The humans, who included Virginia and Melanie, her college roommate, ventured into Carroll County, Maryland, to try to locate a female feline worthy of serving as Catsby's Empress.  The first candidate interviewed by Virginia was a very pretty "Havana Brown" cat (Photo 1), who had taken "Best of Show",  or some similar accolade, at the Potomac Cat "Wine and Roses" Pet Show, although honestly, most of the cats there were too young to be drinking wine, and the occasional odor in the air was not that of roses. This "Havana" feline, upon which Virginia got to practice her conversational spanish, answered all the questions put to her confidently. (Photo 2) ("If selected as Catsby's empress, would you be able to mend his trousers?" and "If Catsby was not able to fit into his trousers, would you be willing to lubricate the same for him with talculm powder, as a Buckingham Palace  valet once had to do for the Earl of Montbatten" The Havana feline, named Dots, short for Dorothy, because she's not in Kansas anymore, answered each question correctly, by saying "si", which Virginia, with nearly two semesters of college spanish under her belt, was able to interpret as "yes". Dots posed for one last photo, flashing her expressive and sexy eyes, which mesmerized Catsby when he saw the photo.  "Is this the cat of my dreams" asked Catsby. "Only one way to tell, I have to take a nap." Future CPRs will show photos of other cats interviewed at the Pet Show by Virginia and Melanie, and readers will be asked to vote for the candidate that feel would best serve Catsby as his Empress.
